JACK CATHCART
Biography

Jack Cathcart grew up in Branson, Missouri, where the sun trickles through the Ozarkian foilage, and angry 80-year old tourists argue over which cornball variety show to go see. Even though he was surrounded by the overwhelming stupor of "hillbilly hell", he has somehow managed to cut loose and go with the flow.
Jack graduated this year from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. His theatrical credits include MSU’s production of The Rimers of Eldritch as Skelly Mannor, and as Antipholus of Ephesus in Shakespere's The Comedy of Errors (MSU). Other previous theatre credits include: She Stoops to Conquer (Roger, MSU); The Crucible (Ezekiel Cheever, MSU); and The Diary of Anne Frank (Mr. Kraler, MSU).
Along with his work on the stage, Jack has earned several film and commercial credits. Most of his film work has been in collaboration with the Missouri State film department, working on short films such as Love of the Dead, Mercy and Tandem. Jack has also worked independently in the Springfield area, working with Dumore Films on Vincent's Vow, and 777 productions on Heads (which was nominated for/won various awards at multiple festivals, including the Dumbo Film Festival in NYC and the Independent Shorts Awards in Los Angeles). His commercial work includes spots for Innovative Dental and Wine Dive in Springfield, MO, as well as a commercial for the city of Branson. Aside from TV and Film, Jack was also a part of an award-winning music video for Dragon Inn 3's Backstabber.
When Jack's Los Angeles Showcase opportunity was cut short due to the coronavirus, he finished his schooling remotely and is now signed on with ASAP Talent out in Valencia, California.
Aside from his work on the stage and screen, Jack enjoys kicking back and playing guitar. If you can't find him shredding some Van Halen, you'll find him passionately pacing in front of the TV, video-gaming his little heart out.
